Education
Education is where compassion takes root. We support learning environments where children, families, and educators build emotional skills, practice respect, serve their communities, and grow into thoughtful, connected citizens.
Compassionate communities are built in classrooms, homes, and everyday learning spaces. Our Education pillar advances learning that develops the whole person—combining academic growth with empathy, resilience, belonging, and responsibility for others.
We support approaches such as early childhood education, social-emotional learning, restorative circles, service-learning, play, the arts, sports, and school gardens. These experiences help young people develop healthy relationships, participate meaningfully in their communities, and understand their connection to the wider world.
Through partnerships such as United Way of Southern Nevada’s Early Childhood Education Initiative, Compassionate Las Vegas connects and elevates people and organizations working to ensure every child has the support and opportunity to thrive.
